Comments

When I was a kid these trees played a useful part in our lives. They were the posts for the corner flags, 25s and halfway lines in our rather odd triangle shaped rugby ground!
The try line at the other end was the netting for the tennis club and I couldn't understand at the time why Mr Puru(?) got so upset about us using the netting to score our tries on.

Times change - it's always sad to see anything older than about 20 years disappear but, I guess, that is progress.

Lucky that no-one has decided to put a highway through Mair Park yet!!!
